In my opinion I think it’s best to be honest at all times rather than telling lies to protect someone’s feelings. Im saying from experience, when someone chose to hide the truth from me to keep me happy it made me more mad in the end when I found out the truth. No matter how much pain you cause someone with the truth it is better than people not being able to trust in you because they think you will always lie. People can learn to forgive you for your mistakes with time, but they will never forget or be able to trust in you after you lie to them. Also sometimes the outcome isn’t as bad as you think and telling the truth will be better for the other person giving them the real information and from there can decide what to do. It’s better to be a honest man and take up for your responsibility rather than a cowardly liar running and hiding from your mistakes instead of facing them.
