My week at my dads

I was so excited last Sunday because my mom was telling me she was going to be out of town for a while and that we could stay with my dad for both weeks. I dont get to see my dad a lot and I wished I could have more days with him but honestly just these last couple of days makes me feel differently about him. I have been sad that I havent seen my mom or sister I miss them a lot and its weird being away from them for this long because I have gotten really close to my baby sister. I usually only see my dad one day out the week so i guess we dont really have a lot of time to argue or fight regularly because we usually have fun for just that one day. In these past days we been staying at my grandmas house with him its been really frustrating for me and brother because it just feels like hes more mad than usual and like hes turning back to his old self kinda. We have been arguing a lot about just the littlest things and even my grandma has been getting on to him and the other night the cops had came for him and my grandma was saying if he continued to do the things she didnt like she would kick him out, which is bad because either we wouldnt have anywhere to stay or my mom would take his part of custody away until he found a place. As much as I was so excited for these two weeks now I wish they could go by faster and get back to our regular schedule already. Plus my grandma is mad at my dad so shes taking it out on everyone by not cooking lol. Im so ready to see my mom and sister already. ❤

First week of sophomore year

My first week of sophomore year was kind of boring because we haven’t been learning anything and we’re still trying to get into the new school year and with new students and new teachers and new rules. Honestly the one thing I really don’t like this year is how most of our schedules go back and forth from each building each period and the four minutes is not enough and they constantly want us to go get tardy passes like if they can’t see that so many students are struggling to make it on time with the little bit of four minutes. I love the college professor I got this year because he doesn’t look at me stupid for not already knowing something and he helps me out and to actually understand it. I think it’s going to be a good year as long as I don’t get distracted and stay focused, I really want to do good in my grades my goal is to keep all my grades above an 85 in all subjects. I’m also really excited to finally get my physical so I can hopefully play volleyball this year but if not I will next year.

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
